J.W. was driving her 6 month old Lexus IS-350 eastbound on Ramon Road approaching its intersection with DaVall with her headlights on, at approximately 25-30 mph. Suddenly, and without warning, a man suddenly made a left hand turn, directly across and in front of J.W. which caused her to unavoidably collide with his vehicle. J.W.'s head was violently thrown forward and then struck the rear headrest. J.W. sustained ver serious injuries and treated for nearly two years. Update-Recovers Compensation for Victims of DUI Accident

Cindy C. and her two sisters were on their way home from LAX in preparation for their mother's funeral. All 3 were already suffering from the loss of their mother. December 4, 2009, - Anaheim, California - Arbitration settlement for injured driver of SUV with severe, hidden damage

D.T. had tried for years to get pregnant and finally she was able to carry a baby. While driving on a simple errand, a pick-up truck slammed into the rear of her SUV. While the damage on the outside of the SUV did not look too bad, further inspection by experts hired by Cohn & Swartzon revealed that the thick, steel trailer hitch took most of the impact and was bent into a deep "V." In addition, the sheer force of the impact was so great that it also broke the rear seats of the SUV. Tragically, not only was the driver of the pick-up uninsured, D.T. suffered severe back injuries and lost her baby shortly after the collision. November 23, 2009, - Anaheim, California - Compensation for pedestrian rendered paraplegic by driver

Richard D. was crossing the street in what is called an "implied crosswalk," when a speeding driver hit Richard. Richard lay there, unable to move. Our client was driving negligent free in Santa Ana, California when he was hit from behind. The impact totaled his vehicle and caused his vehicle to slam into two others. Our client was walking to her car after purchasing groceries at a big chain supermarket. Suddenly, a vehicle struck her and her grocery cart. Initially, our client thought she only suffered some severe bruising. Later she found out that she had a complex tear of the lateral meniscus on her left knee, osteochondral injury to the right knee, right shoulder superior labral full thickness tear, right shoulder rotator cuff impingement, lumbar spine strain and acute cervical whiplash. Claude and his wife, an elderly couple, hired a carpet cleaning company to clean the carpets in their home. Unknown to them, while the employees were cleaning, the employees found a hidden safe and attempted to open it. Unable to open the safe, the employees returned a few days later, pretending that they missed a few areas on the carpet and tried to open the safe once again. Still unable to open the safe, the employees returned later that night, along with some friends, in dark hoods and masks. Once inside the home, the individuals tied up the elderly couple, brutally beat and attacked them, tortured them, and threatened to kill them with an axe if they did not open the safe. The individuals stole over $750,000 worth of the couples’ prized family possessions. Fortunately, the individuals were eventually captured by the police, charged, and criminally convicted. Cohn & Swartzon then sued the individuals and although no amount of money could ever erase this painful memory, obtained a judgment for $6,925,270.00 against the individuals for their despicable acts.
